Neben Breguet gab es nur sehr wenige Hersteller dieser speziellen Taschenuhren, bei denen die Zeit auch er- tastet werden konnte. Ein Pfeil au\u00DFerhalb des Geh\u00E4uses gibt die Position des Stundenzeigers der Uhr wieder. Nachdem man die Position des Pfeils \u201Eertastet\u201C hat, lokalisiert sich der Benutzer mit Hilfe von Vorspr\u00FCngen, die direkt \u00FCber den Stunden ange- ordnet sind. Die ab 1799 auf den Markt gebrachte Taktuhr (manchmal auch \u201EBlindenuhr\u201C genannt) bietet manchmal auch reiche und vielf\u00E4ltige Verzierungen (Emaille, Perlen, Diamanten).
