Ø44.5mm, ca. 21.5g, aluminium case, back with gift dedication of the Northern Aluminium Company to W.E. Bennett 1956, case number 345542, movement number 513745, aluminium movement calibre 439/7, aluminium dial (slightly spotted) and aluminium hands, in working order and in complete original condition with original box. These watches were not allowed to be sold to the general public, they were exclusively reserved for the aluminium factory in Canada. The production was 30 pieces in the 1930s and 500 pieces in the 1950s. Only very rarely are these watches still in their original condition with original box like here! Sold 197-4151 Pocket watch: unique splendour pocket watch with ruby setting, Vacheron & Constantin No. 365559, 1929 Ca. Ø39mm, ca. 50g, 18K pink gold, back and face with gold relief of blossoms and tendrils, set with rubies, crown winding, precision lever movement, very fine quality movement number 365559, engine turned golden dial, Breguet steel hands, in working order and in very beautiful condition. The watch is unique in this version and was probably custome-made in 1929. Vacheron only supplied the movement, as confirmed by the extract from the archives. The case was made by the famous Geneva manufacturer Moulinié, Bautte & Cie and is almost 100 years older than the movement.
