Normally the Reference number 5774 was a pilot's watch for the French military with matching case but without chronograph. It seems that the addition "142" to Ref. 5774-1 is the chronograph version!

Ca. Ø35mm, 14K gold, hinged case, case and movement with matching number 2976662, very fine and very early wristwatch chronograph calibre 13.33, enamel dial with red 12 and 300 divisions and 30-minute register, blued Breguet steel hands, intact, dial with fine hairlines. This is one of the earliest Longines chronographs and one of the first wristwatch chronographs ever! Longines launched the calibre 13.33 as the first wristwatch calibre with chronograph in 1913 and the serial number dates this watch to 1913!
