255-4188 Pocket watch: extremely rare gold/enamel hunting case watch set with gemstones and Oriental pearls, ca. 1800
Ca. Ø31.5mm, 18k gold, coined band, very rare version, set with gemstones and Oriental pearls on both sides, transparent guilloché enamel in the centre, a rose on one side and a butterfly on the other, verge movement, signed Les Frères Esquivillon & De Choudens No. 85557, enamel dial, Breguet steel hands, intact, key included. The watch was probably made for the Chinese market and is extremely rare as a gold/enamel ladies' watch. Only a few of these watches were made as hunting case watches and combine different enamelling techniques, Oriental pearl setting and stone setting.
