152-4193 Pocket watch: extremely rare, technical high interesting pocket watch with special escapement, signed "Hahn in Stuttgart", ca. 1790
Ca. Ø57 mm, ca. 127 g, silver case, gilt, reeded mid section, case punch "D " and "14", experimental movement with huge 5-arm balance, seconds oscillator, flat hairspring, extravagant cylinder escapement with silver cylinder escape wheel, engraved under the dial 1823 AK, enamel dial with decentralized time display, center seconds and date, original, golden arrow hands; movement intact, hands motion train needs restoration, rare South German collector's object. Gebrüder Hahn Hoffmechanici à Stuttgardt: The brothers Hahn, Christian Gottfried (* 1769) and Christoph Matthäus (1767-1833), worked in the workshop of their father Philipp Matthäus Hahn in Onstmettingen, Kornwestheim and Echterdingen. Christian Gottfried and Christoph Matthäus were "Hofmechanikus" (court suppliers) in Stuttgart.
