Ø36.5mm, stepped 18K gold case, serial number 1197360, movement number 1202918, manual winding calibre 89 with centre seconds, extremely attractive and very rare cloisonné enamel and gold dial, representation of two koi carp, gold indexes, in working order, good condition, cleaning recommended. These colourful cloisonné enamel dials came into fashion in the late 1940s. They were used in small numbers by the manufacturers themselves (IWC, Omega, Vacheron & Constantin) as well as by other suppliers who made these dials. As this cloisonné dial is unsigned, we cannot guarantee that the watch was delivered by IWC in this condition. We do, however, guarantee that the dial is old and of the period! These deck chronometers with power reserve indicator are extremely rare, probably only 150 of them were delivered to the navy as "navigation watches".
