287-4167 Pocket watch: extremely rare verge watch with double retrograde date and hidden enamel painting, circa 1822
Ca. Ø55.5mm, ca. 141g, silver, opens on both sides, English hallmarks from 1822, a hidden very fine enamel painting, view of the balance wheel under the back cover, verge escapement, off-centre dial on the front and an extremely rare double retrograde calendar for days 1–16 and 17–31, Breguet hands, with the movement intact. We are not aware of any other example in this version!
