Wristwatch: Rolex rarity, so-called "Jean-Claude Killy" Dato-Compax Ref.4768, ca. 1948
Ca. Ø35mm, stainless steel, pressed back, reference number 4768, manual winding Valjoux 72, original and unrestored 2-colour dial, chronograph, triple calendar, old leather strap with buckle, in working order and in very beautiful unrestored condition. The dial still has the beautiful 2-colour effect, but is partially patinated/oxidised, especially in the area above the windows. Reference 4768 was made in stainless steel, yellow gold, pink gold, steel and yellow gold, and steel and pink gold. After its market launch in 1947, only about 220 pieces were produced in total. The watch is therefore one of the most sought-after Rolex collector's items today!

Ø40mm, stainless steel, screwed-down back, screwed-down crown, REF. 1680, serial number 2241XXX, automatic chronometer calibre 1570, extremely rare brown "Tropical-Dial, type MKII, red Submariner writing, date, plexiglass, Rolex stainless steel bracelet, deployant clasp 93150, very beautiful condition, in working order. The watch is very well kept and comes in an old Rolex wodden box, covered with green leather. The dial is a so called Tropical dial, more precisely it is a MK 2 dial. The dial was originally black on delivery, but has changed to brown due to UV exposure. The Mark II dial is estimated to have been manufactured over a period of only nine months. It is the shiniest and most beautiful red dial and has the characteristic of changing colour from black to chocolate brown. This makes the 1680 MKII one of the rarest Submariner references!
