Sold 255-4246 Wristwatch: extremely rare Swiss apprentice watch, Universal Tricompax base, 1950/1990 Ca. Ø35mm, stainless steel, sapphire case back, manual winding calibre 481, silvered dial, chronograph with tachymetre/telemetre, date, moon phase, window for day of the week and month, 30-minute counter, 12-hour counter, steel hands, like new leather strap with buckle, in very good condition, working, minute-counter needs service. This complicated wristwatch from the 1950s was completely redesigned by a young watchmaker during and shortly after his training at a Swiss watchmaking school in the 1990s. The calibre was elaborately refined, decorated with Geneva stripes and rhodium-plated. The balance and its regulation were carefully finished and supplemented with an indexes regulator with swan-neck and micrometric screw. The case back was glazed to display the movement.
