Wristwatch: one of the first Rolex Explorers with ref. 1016, from 1962

Ø 36 mm, stainless steel, screw-down crown, screw-down case back, automatic chronometer with center seconds, serial number 771..., black dial, luminous numerals, luminous hands, original plexiglass, old leather strap with buckle, good used condition, consigned by first owner, in working order. Production of the 1016 began in 1960, and this watch is in very good condition for such an early piece.

Ø 39 mm, stainless steel/18K yellow gold, screw-down case back, automatic chronometer, gold tachymeter bezel, screw-down case back, screw-down crown, screw-down pushers, ref. 16523, serial number X 621..., black dial, gold hands, original Rolex steel/gold bracelet with folding clasp, movement intact, in good condition. Before Rolex developed its own chronograph caliber, Daytonas were equipped with Zenith's top-of-the-line El Primero caliber and sold under the caliber designation 4030. These movements are highly innovative and still hold their own today in terms of precision and perfection. In collector circles, the older models with the caliber developed by Zenith are much more sought after and have experienced a strong increase in value.
