248-5284  Ring: goldsmith ring with extremely rare Paraiba tourmaline and brilliant-cut diamonds, like new

Approx. Ø17.5mm, ring size 54, approx. 4.1g, 18K yellow gold, in the centre the luminous Paraiba in very rare quality "eye-clean", 2.17ct, accompanied by brilliant-cut diamonds and marquise diamonds totalling 0.63ct, all stones in fine quality, like new and unworn. The Paraiba tourmaline is the most expensive tourmaline and one of the most expensive gemstones of all. Specimens of over 2ct with this degree of purity are extremely rare. In recent years, these tourmalines have experienced an extreme increase in value which, despite all predictions, has not yet come to an end. Demand has clearly exceeded supply and prices have therefore climbed to astronomical heights, as hardly any significant finds of good gemstone quality have been made. This applies to all locations. Even today, the legendary Paraiba tourmalines from the Brazilian state of Paraiba are the most sought-after and most expensive. However, the deposits from Brazil have long since been exhausted. In 2001, blue-green tourmalines containing copper and manganese were discovered in Nigeria, followed by Mozambique in 2005. Almost all Paraiba tourmalines available on the market now come from Africa and no longer from Brazil. But even the African deposits are proving to be limited. It is this incredible, magically glowing neon green/neon blue that makes Paraiba tourmaline so special and that no other gemstone shows in this form. ATTENTION: The hammer price includes 19% VAT, which can be shown! For buyers with a delivery address outside the EU, this means that the hammer price will be reduced by this tax.
