294-5039 Werner Zappe Pforzheim: Exceptional panther brooch with diamonds, WZP, ca. 1980
Ca. 9 cm long, ca. 15.5 g, 18-carat yellow gold, featuring a very rare elongated brooch construction on the reverse; on the front, a black panther’s head measuring ca. 18 x 17 mm, presumably made of onyx, with the neck and eye set with brilliant-cut diamonds; the total weight of 0.14 ct is hallmarked on the reverse, along with the goldsmith’s mark ‘WZP’, Werner Zappe Pforzheim, high-quality vintage designer goldsmith’s piece.
