Sold 267-4100 Seal with musical mechanism, historically extremely valuable, gift from Empress Sissi Ca. 47 mm long, ca. 24 g, gold, oval seal plate made of carnelian, upper part decorated with 2 agate cameos depicting ladies' portraits, above those the rotating handle used to wind the music mechanism located in the base, pendant for a watch chain/watch chatelaine, movement intact. According to the owner, this was a gift from Empress Sissi of Austria to her sister Helene, who was married to Hereditary Prince Maximilian of the Princely House of Thurn and Taxis.
