Ø53 mm, ca. 110 g, 18 K gold, "à goutte" hunting case, case twice signed and numbered, Vacheron & Constantin Ankerchronometer movement, special quality, micrometer fine adjusting device, big gold screw chronometer balance, observatory punch 1904 on balance bridge, original enamel dial (small hairline), signed, blued steel hands; precision pocket watch, finest quality. The "Demi-Chronomètre" made by Vacheron & Constantin are extremely rare. The name "Demi-Chronomètre" was used by Vacheron & Constantin to indicate that these watches were sent to the observatory for chronometric control, but for commercial reasons did not stay long enough to complete the entire test run. They were predominantly equipped with the rare regulation and Guillaume balance, as in the present piece. In addition, the year of the tests was punched on the balance bridge, in the present case 1904.
