Ca. Ø36.5mm, steel, screw-down case back with reference number, self-winding movement of chronometer quality, Cal. 333, wonderfully preserved, highly radioactive dial with pink gold indexes, luminous hands, in working order. The 12-million serial number indicates 1950 as the year of manufacture; authentic original condition; rare reference.

292-4333 Pocket watch: Omega rarity, observatory chronometer “CHRONOMÈTRE GRADE VERY BEST” No. 5983708 with certificate and original box, manufactured in 1922 as part of a series of just 300 pieces! Ca. Ø59mm, ca. 145g, 14K gold, hunting case pocket watch, inscribed ‘CHRONOMETRE OMEGA’, observatory chronometer calibre 43.15S, the highest quality observatory chronometer produced by Omega, CHRONOMÈTRE GRADE VERY BEST with 23 jewels, screw-down gold chatons and fine adjustment, special winding mechanism requiring the crown to be pressed in to wind, original enamel dial, pink gold hands, original box, in very fine condition, in working order. The watch comes with an Omega certificate; it was sold to Finland on 18 May 1924. Originally, the watch was accompanied by a ‘Bulletin de Marche’ from the Bienne Observatory. Ø50 mm, approx. 133g, American ‘True-Hinge’ ornate case of exceptionally solid build quality, Omega chronometer movement ‘Grade DDR’ with 23 jewels, signed Louis Brandt & Frère, No. 2618611, original enamel dial, signed Brandt, steel hands, in working order, sensational, as good as new condition of the case, with original box. The term ‘Omega Grade DDR’ in the context of the Canadian railway refers to one of the most exclusive and precise pocket watches in the history of horology. The abbreviation ‘DDR’ does not stand for the German Democratic Republic, but denotes the highest quality grade of movements manufactured by Omega between 1905 and 1911. Due to their exceptional accuracy, these extremely rare chronometers were officially approved for service use by Canadian railway companies such as the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). Only 900 of these chronometers, which met the requirements for observatory chronometers, were produced. 7.500 € - 12.500 €
