287-4217 Pocket watch: significant Breguet pocket chronometer with two barrels and a chronometer balance wheel, No. 2650, ca. 1816
Ca. Ø55mm, ca. 112g, 18K gold, faithful reproduction case, faithful reproduction dial, signed Breguet et Fils, original, extremely rare Breguet movement with two barrels for extended running time, experimental Anker chronometer with a chronometer balance wheel, shock protection, movement intact, visually almost as good as new. According to the Breguet archives, this watch was sold to His Royal Highness, the Duke of Cambridge, on 8 November 1816, originally with a Tavernier gold case No. 3399. Another of these extremely rare Breguet chronometers was auctioned at Antiquorum in 1991 (https://www.cortrie.de/go/Jbo).
