292-4071 Pocket watch: extremely rare gold and enamel Breguet ‘Cabriolet’-type watch with repeater, La Croix Turin, circa 1830
Ca. Ø39mm, ca. 40g, 18K gold, elaborately enamelled, ‘Cabriolet’ à-goutte case, serial number 51496, dome signed, can be worn in two ways, cylinder escapement with repeater, engine-turned dial, gold Breguet hands, glass missing, 1 hinge sleeve in need of restoration, repeater requires servicing, the movement is intact. Despite minor flaws, this is an extremely rare collector’s watch. Breguet-style cabriolet cases in this small size are extremely rare, particularly when combined with a repeater.
