292-4204 Rare miniature sundial with compass and calendar, Nuremberg, dated 1732
Ca. 52 x 40 mm, attributed to the Karner family of Nuremberg; thread missing. Members of the Karner family of Nuremberg were compass-makers for generations. This sundial probably originated from one of the three sons of Conrad Karner (II), who died in 1687, who practised the craft until the late 18th century.
