Patek Philippe brought the young Geneva-based jewellery designer Gilbert Albert on board in 1955; the aim of this collaboration was to create a range of unusual and eye-catching watches. Albert was an exceptionally talented artist with a passionate affinity for modern art, such as the works of Brancusi and Mondrian; the unusual and daring cases he created for Patek Philippe continue to fascinate the viewer today just as much as they did on the day of their creation.
