Ca. 52 × 34mm, exceptional size for a heart-shaped form watch, ca. 31g, 18K gold, face with green engine turned enamel and diamond setting, back with red engine turned enamel and diamond setting, dome signed and numbered, Geneva bar movement, cylinder escapement, similar in construction to the Patek Philippe cylinder movements (see Martin Huber & Alan Banbery page 109/ illustration 19 A), screwed enamel dial, Breguet steel hands, intact, enamel on both sides restored. This watch is a rarity among Geneva enamel watches. In perfect condition we would estimate the collector's value to more than 10,000€. The watch would certainly benefit from a professional restoration of the enamel and increase its value significantly.

Auguste Hilaire Rodanet was a Patek Philippe agent in Paris and one of the most important French chronometer makers. Rodanet was appointed a Knight of the Legion of Honour on 9 July 1883. In 1890, he founded the brand "Horlogerie Rodanet de Paris". Auguste Hilaire Rodanet was also president of the "Ecole d'Horlogerie et Mécanique Précision" in Paris (1880) and president of the "Chambre syndicale l'Horlogerie de Paris".
