Sold 239-4049 Pocket watch: very rare white gold Breguet type dress watch by Vacheron & Constantin Geneve, ca. 1923 Ca. Ø44mm, ca. 46g, 18K white gold, case number 222726, movement number 398845, very fine Geneva quality, adjusted in 8 positions, original Breguet type dial with white gold numerals, also signed, rare white gold Fleur-De-Lys hands, in good condition, in working order (one numeral with imperfection). Sold 239-4060 Pocket watch: extremely rare Vacheron & Constantin Geneve Ankerchronometer with special chronograph with production counter/number of pieces register, specially made for Mascort & Bonturi Buenos Aires, 1905, with extract from the archives and original box Ca. Ø51mm, ca. 115g, 18K pink gold, case number 201612, dome marked "Fabrication Speciale pour Mascort & Bonturi", top class Ankerchronometer, No.333118, especially large chronometer balance, special and highly refined chronograph with polished and bevelled steel parts, perfectly preserved, extremely rare enamel dial with red production counter, pink gold hands, in working order and in very good condition. The watch was ordered by the V & C agent Carassale and was a special order for Mascort & Bonturi. Mascort & Bonturi was a fashionable fine clothing shop in Buenos Aires. Chronographs with production counters are extremely rare. We know of no other Vacheron & Constantin chronograph with this dial. The indication on the dome shows that it was a special production for the man's outfitter, to measure the number of pieces in certain production runs. The counter starts with 90 and ends with 12, which means 12 pieces per minute. The division is accurate to 1/5th of a second! The extract from the archives confirms the engraving and suggests that it is probably a unique piece! Hammerprice: 5.550 €

Ø57mm, ca. 138g, 18K gold, engine turned, case number 218359, completely signed and numbered, movement number 353658, marked "Chronometer Royal" on the plate, high quality Ankerchronometer with extra large balance, wolf's toothing and fine adjusting device, signed original enamel dial, pink gold hands, impressive extra large version with 57mm diameter, in good condition, case band with flat dent, in working order. Ø48mm, ca. 82g, 18K pink gold, à-goutte case, No.10661, very rare chronometer movement with special rocker, signed on the bridge, enamel dial, filigree steel hands, in working order, dial with small imperfections at the rim, otherwise in very beautiful condition. Pocket chronometers by Vacheron & Constantin are extremely rare. As far as we know less than 10 Vacheron & Constantin pocket watches with chronometer escapements are known from this period, among others auctioned in the special auction "The Art of Horology in Geneva", Geneva, Hotel Des Bergues, Nov 13, 1999. now only: 5.000 €

Ø58.5mm, ca. 139g, silver, back with engraved portrait of Hindenburg, surrounded by a wreath, dated 1914, case number 271429, punched Vacheron & Constantin, excellent Ankerchronometer movement, marked Chronometre Royal No. 368940, chronometer balance, fine adjusting device, wolf's toothing, signed enamel dial, blued steel hands, in working order, comes with a fancy old watch box.
