292-4064 Pocket watch: A rarity, an extremely large skeletonised Prague Tula verge watch with minute repeater, ca. 1820
Ca. 62 mm in diameter, ca. 162 g, extremely rare Tula silver case, verge movement with minute repeater and date, skeletonised on the display side, enamelled numeral ring, distinctive steel hands, signed J. Rejha Praha, movement intact, cleaning recommended, an absolute rarity. Tula-style case decoration only became ‘fashionable’ and widespread around 1900. Verge watches from around 1800 to 1820 with such cases are exceptionally rare!
