292-4330 Pocket watch: a heavy, technically interesting ornately designed hunting case pocket watch with ‘seconde morte’ and repeater, by Henry Gandjean for the South American market, circa 1880

Ø51mm, ca. 135g, 18-carat gold, magnificently engraved, entirely solid ‘à-goutte’ savonnette case, signed and numbered No. 24605, case and movement bear the same number, glazed movement, highly complex repeater movement with repetition of the hours and quarter-hours, as well as 2 barrels which are wound simultaneously via the crown, Winding of the timekeeping mechanism and the independent, jumping seconds; original, signed champlevé dial; original, blued steel hands; excellent, in working order condition; a rarity.
