292-4302 Pendent watch: large, extremely rare octagonal rock crystal astronomical pendant watch, C. Phelisot à Dijon, circa 1620
Silver, gilted and rock crystal, ca. 90 x 40 mm, oval, signed verge movement with calendar, originally fitted with a balance and gut string, modernised around 1700, hairspring and chain, dial with 4 astronomical indicators, single-hand, extremely rare, early pendant watch, movement requires restoration. C. Phelisot was already working as a watchmaker in Dijon before 1600. Watches by him are exceptionally rare. Another octagonal watch by him was auctioned in Geneva and fetched 163,000 Swiss francs (https://www.cortrie.de/go/VOD).
