292-4262 Watch key: large golden verge watch key with 2 stone micro-mosaic pietra dura plates, c. 1800
Ca. 60 mm long, solid gold, very rare design featuring two swans, micromosaic on both sides, one side depicting a bird with a bee, the other side a view of a castle. Micromosaic keys are the greatest rarities amongst spindle watch keys, which is why such a key adorns both the front and back covers of the well-known reference book *Taschenuhrenschlüssel* by Kaltenböck/Schwank.
