Pocket watch: one of the first Patek Philippe ‘Gondolo’ Anker chronometers from 1903

Ø56mm, ca. 133g, 18K gold, case number 229248, movement 119710, engine-turned, a particularly heavy and large Patek Philippe Anker chronometer with a large gold-screw balance wheel and moustache lever, a rare movement variant featuring a long regulator hand and a large, single-piece barrel bridge spanning both winding wheels; an original enamel dial in impeccable condition and original gold hands; in very good working order; a very fine Patek Philippe collector’s watch. Patek Philippe began production of this legendary Anker chronometer in 1902. The movement variant presented here is the earliest version of a Gondolo. We are not aware of any other example with a movement number below 120,000.
