292-4193 Pocket watch: gold/enamel hunting case pocket watch with diamond setting, made for the Orient, Cairo, circa 1880
Ca. Ø45mm, ca. 67g, 14K gold, enamelled on both sides (blue enamel restored), sun symbol inlaid on the display side and set with diamonds, dome signed ‘Joseph Cohen Fournisseur de la Famille Khediviale Le Caire’ (Manufactured by Joseph Alfred Cohen, purveyor to the Khedive of Egypt), No. 3177, lever escapement, enamelled dial with Ottoman numerals, steel hands, movement intact, spring lid opens with some difficulty, cleaning recommended.
