Pocket watch: very fine, heavy Patek Philippe Observatory chronometer, 1st class ‘EXTRA’ quality, with an outstanding test result from the Geneva Observatory in 1901, PP No. 115412

Ø52.5mm, ca. 120g, 18K gold, à-goutte, case number 227486, movement number 115412, double signature: Patek Philippe Geneva and Ignaz Marenzeller, Imperial and Royal Court Purveyor to Vienna, exquisite chronometer movement with lever escapement and Guillaume balance wheel, exceptionally rare regulation mechanism with two regulator hands and swan’s neck, wolf's toothing, movement double-numbered 115412 as prescribed for observatory chronometers, original, signed enamel dial, blued steel hands, in very fine condition, in working order. This very fine pocket chronometer is supplied with a chronometer certificate and an extract from the chronometer database. According to these records, in 1901 this watch scored 216 points, placing 15th out of 101 tested 1st-class observatory pocket chronometers. A comparable chronometer was auctioned in Geneva in 2010 and fetched over 20,000 Swiss francs (source: https://www.cortrie.de/go/VDr).
