292-4290 Figurative watch: one of the rarest gold and enamel figurative watches, ‘The Pair of Cherries’, probably Geneva, c. 1810
Approx. 70 mm long, ca. 52 g, 18-carat gold, red enamel, one cherry containing a concealed watch, verge escapement, enamel dial; the other cherry is a perfume bottle/vinaigrette, with a gold ratchet key, with the movement intact and superbly preserved, a museum-quality rarity.
