292-4177 Pocket watch: early single-hand ‘oignon’ with enamel plaque, Margueritte Paris, circa 1690
Approx. 58 mm in diameter, approx. 175 g, rare version with silver case, enamelled painting on the reverse (hairline cracks professionally restored), extremely large balance bridge and, in contrast, a tiny regulating scale, very rare version, mainplate signed, verge escapement, enamelled dial, iron hands, in working order, very rare. ‘Oignons’ from this period featuring enamel painting are absolute rarities!
